Seven people P, Q, R, S, T, U and V sit in a row facing North. S sits third from the left end. V sits at one of the extreme ends, and exactly three people sit between S and V. Q sits immediately to the left of V. U sits immediately to the right of S. R and T sit next to each other, and T does not sit at an end.
Who sits exactly in the middle of the row?

Answer: B. U

Explanation: S is 3rd; V must be 7th (three people between); Q is 6th; U is 4th. R and T must take places 1 and 2, with T not at an end, so R is 1st, T 2nd and P 5th: R, T, S, U, P, Q, V. The 4th place is U.
