What will be the output of the following Java program?
public class Main {
public static void main(String[] args) {
try {
int[] a = new int[3];
a[3] = 1;
System.out.print("A");
} catch (ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException e) {
System.out.print("B");
} catch (Exception e) {
System.out.print("C");
} finally {
System.out.print("D");
}
}
}
- BD
- ABD
- BCD
- CD
Answer and explanation
Answer: A. BD
Explanation: a[3] is out of bounds for an array of length 3, so the exception is thrown before "A" is printed. The first matching catch prints B, and finally always prints D.
