I. The car covers 180 km in 3 hours at a uniform speed.
II. The car is red in colour.

  1. Statement I alone is sufficient
  2. Statement II alone is sufficient
  3. Both statements together are needed
  4. Both statements together are not sufficient
Answer and explanation

Answer: A. Statement I alone is sufficient

Explanation: From I, speed = 180 ÷ 3 = 60 km/h, so I alone is sufficient. The colour in II is irrelevant.
